Answer with explanation:

the function f(x) is given by:

       f(x)= x+4   when   -4 ≤ x <3

      and  2x-1   when    3 ≤ x <6

  • i.e. in the interval [-4,3)

the graph is a increasing line since the slope of the graph is positive i.e. 1 ( By comparing with the slope intercept form of a line y=mx+c where m is the slope of the line and c is the y-intercept of the line )

and  there is a open circle at (3,7)

because the function is defined as x+4 for x<3

i.e,. when x=3

then x+4=7

  • Also in the interval [3,6)

the graph is a increasing line since the slope is positive ( since the slope is 2 )  and there is a open circle at (6,11)

since the function is defined for x<6

and when x=6

then 2x-1=11
