How do the unique properties of each element in CHONP allow life to build complex structures?

Respuesta :

CHONP stands for carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen and phosphorus. Carbon is a component of  various organic compounds and it also present in DNA, proteins and nucleic acids. Hydrogen is found in water, which is a universal solvent and it also participates in photosynthesis.  Oxygen is a component of water and it is involved in both photosynthesis and cellular respiration.  Nitrogen is very important in protein synthesis; proteins stores information about DNA. Phosphorus is found in phoospholipids, ATP and DNA.
