The answer here is B, popular culture. A cannot be the correct answer as these are not outdated trends (at least not yet) - we still listen to American music, watch TV programs and movies. They are not C - yesterday's fads, which basically means the same as A. And they are not social movements either (like feminism, free love, veganism, etc.). So these are collectively called - popular culture. Ideas that are in the mainstream.
