During the Columbian exchange, many animals, plants, ideas, technology and people were transported from America to Europe and viceversa. This led to an enormous exchange of culture that forever changed both regions. Some of the animals and goods that Europeans introduced to the Americas are:
- Pigs
- Cows
- Chickens
- Horses
- Sheep
- Goats
- Donkeys
- Diseases (such as chickenpox, measles, mumps, and smallpox)
- Coffee (from Africa)
- Sugarcane (from India)
- Rice (from Africa and Asia)
