When we think of discrimination we think about discriminating
against people based on certain factors like race and gender, which is of
course is something we shouldn’t be doing. But, as Barbara Mackinnon argues, discrimination
can be viewed differently when it comes to war ethics. Here discrimination is a
good thing as the soldiers need to discriminate between the opposing soldiers and the
civilians.
