Northeast is also known as New England, because when England settled the East Coast, they called it New England ( as did many countries in the new world after their country) . They are known for their hunting and growth of berries as agriculture. Generally includes Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont , New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.
The South includes states South of Virginia and as far East as Texas. They grow mostly cotton and tree fruits such as peaches, oranges and citrus fruits as well as tobacco. They were known for their slavery until it was abolished , as slaves worked the many farms.
The Midwest is also known as the Great Lakes Region. They grow soy, corn, and other vegetables, and also surprisingly have a lot of industry, such as cars in Michigan and other factories near cities usually.
The West is rather a general term, but usually includes Rocky Mountain States as well as Arizona and new Mexico. They use their land mostly for ranching and mining , as the west is too dry for much agriculture.
