HELP PLZ WILL MARK BRAINIST

The World in Miniature
On my bedroom shelf
A Venetian gondola bumps
Against a German music box
Steers past a lucky cat from Tokyo,
Round the pewter soldiers from London,
And stops for lunch at the plastic Eiffel Tower.

Mom travels for work a lot.
I miss her.
But each time she adds something new to my shelf
To remind me I’m always with her.

How do the things on the shelf affect the meaning of this poem?

They symbolize the speaker's desire to explore the unknown.

They represent the speaker's respect for his mother's hard work.

They symbolize the sense of loss the speaker feels in his mother's absence.

They represent the idea that the speaker is always in his mother's thoughts.

The last line helps to answer this question. It shows that the objects were bought "to remind me I'm always with her." The mother is the one buying these items from different places she travels for work. She buys them to show the speaker that he's always in his mother's thoughts. None of the other options are true. While the boy might respect his mother's hard work, the things on the shelf do not show this. They also don't symbolize a sense of loss or a desire to explore the unknown.
