The average life of an alcohol abuser is ten to twelve years shorter than that of a nonabuser. In some cases, the lifespan can even be fifteen years shorter than that of a nonabuser. There are several diseases and issues that are associated with alcohol abuse. A couple of these include diabetes and liver disease.
