Hello! We can add fractions by first, finding the LCM of the denominators in order to make the denominators the same. Doing this will make the fractiosn much easier to add and even save some time. LCM is the lowest number that both numbers can go into. The LCM of 5 and 10 is 10. 2/5 is equivalent to 4/10. 1 2/5 is the same is 1 4/10. Now, we can add the fractions. 1 4/10 + 2 3/10 is 3 7/10.
