religion proposed different aspects and points of view of life and how to live it. the Puritans lived a very strict life because they believed they were to purify the world, that the world needed purification. the Quakers didn't believe in violence at all. The Puritans were those who did the witch trials. The pilgrims were devoted to a God life. the Quakers devoted to not fighting in war as they strongly believed that violence wasn't the way. In the southern colonies there is a mixture of religions forced to worship by the king,a religion that they(the colonists) did not like. this was why the Puritans and the pilgrims sailed to the New America, in hopes to worship and practice their own religion. In hope for a better life.
