Respuesta :

To find out the rate of snowfall, we put the numbers into a fraction like so:
Inches of Snow
_____________ (per)

Hour

Buffalo: 22 inches
----- per
12 hours
Oswego: 31 inches
--- per
15 hours
We then divide them to figure out the rate getting the answer 1.83333 (repeating three) for Buffalo and 2.06666 (repeating six) for Oswego.
We then round these to the nearest hundredths place getting us 1.83 for Buffalo and 2.07 for Oswego.
2.07 > 1.83 so Oswego had a heavier/higher snowfall rate.
