Voltaire referred to the 1755 Lisbon Earthquake (option B). He provided a graphic description of what had happened, not only he talked about the earthquake but he also referred to the tsunami that hit the port of Europe. The city was almost destroyed, it was a great catastrophe and it is still considered to be on of the deadliest phenomenon ever.
