Club in Washington, D.C., include top military leaders, top political leaders,
and owners of corporations. As such, the club is attended by the Power Elite.
It asserts that single elite, not a multiplicity of opposing groups, resolves
the life-and-death issues for the nation as a whole, parting relatively minor
matters for the middle level and almost nothing for the public.
