In a triangle, if I triple the height and base, what happens to the area? Please help!?!?!?

The area will increase by a factor 3^2  = 9 

9 times the area.

Area= 1/2 base*height
If both are tripled then the area will be 9 times greater.
Original area =1/2base*height
Final area =9/2 base*height
