1. Place the numbers so that the dividend is under the division sign and the divisor is in front of the sign.
2. Ask yourself how many times (think multiplication) will the divisor go into the dividend without going over.
3. Bring down the next digit in the dividend.
4. Now divide the divisor to that number.
5. Repeat steps 2 and 3 if necessary until final answer is reached.
