If a sampling plan required 5% of the parts to be inspected in 1000 parts?

can someone explain the steps on how to do this I have a test coming up that will ask a similar question

if the question is what the sample is of the 1000 parts, what you would do is multiply the 1000 by the 5% and that would be your answer.
In this case the sample is 50 parts.
