Hello!
A living will is a legal document that the patient has written of instructions they would like the nurse to follow when it is their time to pass away. For example, if they die and their will says to allow a museum to take his brain, the nurse must allow this since it is written in a legal document. Or they could write if they are for sure going to die then they just want them to pull the plug. Or if they are on life support to pull the plug and let them pass. These are instructions the nurse must follow as it is a legal dying wish document.
I hope this was of some help to you!
I am, yours most sincerely,
