Alfred Wegener was insulted by the other scientists at the New York conference when he shared his theory because when he presented his theory the other scientists were sarcastically about the theory. Also, because he could not explain exactly how the continents were moving, other theorists rejected his idea. Little did they realize, he was onto something big!
