The three building blocks of social structure are role, status and social network.
Status refers to the position of a person in society. It can be in a group, organization or a job. Status is divided to ascribed, achieved and master status.
The role comes with the status of a person. A status gives specific roles to everyone. It also elicits or helps understand behaviors.
Social Network is the relationship that a person has with everyone connected to his/her life. It can be a group of friends, colleagues or relatives.
