Anne tries to reason with Mr. Dussel to allow her to use the table in their room two afternoons a week, so that she can get some of her work done. Mr. Dussel scoffs at her, suggesting that her "work" in mythology is not real work at all.
Pim goes to bat for Anne and asks Mr. Dussel to reconsider. Mr. Dussel finally gives in.
