To find the amount of syrup, multiply the amount of syrup per gallon by the number of gallons of soda. In this case, this would be 2 1/5 cups and 4 gallons.
2 1/5 x 4
(Changing the mixed number 2 1/5 to an improper fraction!)
11/5 x 4/1 = 44/5
(Change back to a mixed number after multiplying!)
8 4/5 cups of syrup
Hope this helps!! :)
2 and 1/5 cups for one gallon, so for four gallons, you did four times as much. 2•4=8, and 1/5•4=4/5, so you need 8 and 4/5 cups of syrup
