Once an RNA molecule has been made from DNA, it enters the cytoplasm of the cell and is used by the cell to produce a protein.
RNA is synthesized from DNA in the nucleus by a process known as transcription. Thereafter, the RNA undergoes some processing before it is transported to the cytoplasm.
In the cytoplasm, the RNA binds to the ribosome and is used to synthesize proteins in conjunction with the transfer RNA.
