The trophic level is a class of organisms in the food chain.
In a food chain, it starts with the sun, food chains ALWAYS starts with the Sun. The next part of the chain is the producers who use the Sun's energy. The Producers are flowers, grass, and trees. Next, comes the Primary Consumers that eat the producers, they can be grasshoppers, and rabbits. Next animal in the chain is the Secondary Consumer that eats the Primary one, they are foxes and birds. Then, the Tertiary Consumers that eat the Secondary ones, they are snakes and coyotes. And lastly are the Quaternary Consumers that are the top predators. Quaternary Consumers are Hawks, Wolves, Bears and so on.
