Strong, because he has a clear understanding of what his capabilities are after making a comparison between himself and his friend, and has developed a strong self-concept that he is better at soccer, but worse at basketball, which he has not had a concept of before.
He developed a strong self- concept. Self-concept is defined as an understanding of one’s self based on your experiences, thoughts about one’s self and how one label one's self in different circumstances. Joshua has a strong self-concept since he has a strong sense of purpose and he is committed to improve. He does his best for excellence, not for perfection.
