Six traits of a good scientific observer might be listed as follows:
1) Knowledgeable in their field of study
2) Careful in the way they carry out experiments so as not to make mistakes.
3)Able to think more deeply about their experiments and therefore make more astute observations.
4) Open-minded, and able to consider how the reality of what they see before them might be different to a previously accepted hypotheses.
5) An inquirer, in that they have a naturally curious mind and genuinely want to understand the way about the world works.
6) Able to observe in a truly scientific way, in that they are aware of the difference between seeing something, and seeing something through a scientific lense.
