What is a limitation of any map?
a. It shows only a part of the Earth.
b. There is always some distortion.
c. The scale affects what can be shown accurately.
d. The seas are never in exactly the right location.
When you change something that is 3d into something that is 2d, there will be distortion. Even if it's slight, it will be there, that's just one of the limitations.
