An external influence is b)experiences. External influences are influences which you cannot control and which happen from life experiences and the different environments outside the home, such as the work place or an institution which you attend. Heredity is something passed on from the family, preferences are a choice you make yourself and lifestyle is a choice as well, so these are all more exempt from external influences than experience is.
