elevators lift loads by employing a motor and and a complex system of pulleys. if the elevator converts all the energy used to work, how many joules would be required to lift a 2,500 N load 15 m

Respuesta :

Work (W) = Force (F) x Distance (d)
since its a one-dimensional problem it can be plugged straight into the equation above:

W = 2500N x 15 m
W =37500 J = 37.5 KJ

It would take 37.5 kilo-joules of energy

Hope this helps :P
