Since we know that f (-8.3) = f(a) and a>0, therefore from equation 1 we can generate that:

(x + 4)^2 = (a + 4)^2

(-8.3 + 4)^2 = (a + 4)^2

(-4.3)^2 = (a + 4)^2

(a + 4)^2 = 18.49

a + 4 = 4.3

a = 0.3
