When Hitler assumed control of the Nazi party, he immediately:

  • Announced the new name of the party: National Socialist German Workers’ Party, before called German Workers Party.
  • Proclaimed a 25-point program in February 24th, 1920, to approximately 2000 people in the Munich Festival of the Hofbräuhaus. This program was the political foundation of the party, it listed and stated its demands and legal precepts, such as the expansion of German territory (with Austria), abrogation of the Treaty of Versailles, conditions to be a citizen (The person had to be "member of the race", and no Jew could be one), conditions to live in Germany (Only citizens were able to), land reform, death to all criminals, education to teach "the German Way", encouragement of gymnastics and swimming, formation of a national army and duty of the state towards the people and vice-versa, etc.

On this date in 1921, Adolf Hitler turns to be the chief of the Nazi Party and known as National Socialist German Workers. Under the leadership of Hitler, the Nazi Party turned into a campaign and commanded Germany as a tyrannical state from 1933 to 1945.

Further Explanation :

Hitler’s initial years did not appear to prognosticate his emergence as an authoritative leader. He belongs to a very miserable family and even not able to afford his studies from the university. During World War I, he enlisted a Bavarian army of the German soldiers and was acknowledged as a courageous warrior. However, his administrations assumed he lacked administration potential and never graduated him beyond corporal.

Disappointed by Germany’s downfall in the war, which transmitted the nation economically pessimistic and politically unbalanced; Hitler joined a fledgling institution described as the German Workers’ Party in 1919.

This party was anti-Marxist and objected to the popular post-war administration of the Weimar Republic and harsh terms of Treaty of Versailles, promoting extremist patriotism and Pan-German-ism as well as antagonistic anti-Semitism. Hitler's "rise" can be estimated to have completed in March 1933, following the Reichstag approved the Enabling Act of 1933 during that period.
