In the New Testament it is used of the entire body of believing Christians throughout the world, of the believers in a particular area, and also of the congregation meeting in a particular house—the “house-church”
What is meant by Goths?
A Goth is a member of a Germanic people that invaded the Roman Empire from the east between the 3rd and 5th centuries. The eastern division, the Ostrogoths, founded a kingdom in Italy, while the Visigoths went on to found one in Spain.
