Oversight and public education are examples of Non-legislative functions
of Congress. Legislative oversights are also
known as watch dog of the executive and independent agencies in the government.
Non legislative functions are powers and at the same time responsibilities. It
includes confirmation powers, impeachment powers and investigative powers. The Non legislative Powers of Congress also
uses electoral duties in which if there’s no president, the house decide and if
there’s no vice president, the senate decide. They also have investigatory
power and executive powers.
