Why did Thomas Paine question British authority to rule the colonies and commonsense

Respuesta :

Thomas Paine questioned British authority to rule the colonies in Common Sense because d) he believed the size of the colonies made them impossible for Britain to rule. However, to some extent all the other options definitely tie in to why Thomas Paine wrote the pamphlet, "Common Sense." He stated that the British monarchy and government only wanted to benefit Britain and had no time for understanding the American people and what would be best for them.

Thomas Paine questioned British authority to rule the colonies in Common Sense because he believed that the colonies were being unfairly ruled by an imperial power. He believed in democracy and believed that the colonists had a right to self representation in their government and not to be ruled by a monarchy across the Atlantic Ocean, hope this helps!!!!
