I like how Sister Zoe helps her to the best of her ability, and tutored her, because today, some immigrants cannot get that kind of right. Another thing i liked is the history relations, in which not everything inside this short story was "butterflies and goodies", but it had a taste of reality inside of it. An example of this is Sister Zoe explaining "to a wide-eyed classroom what was happening in Cuba. Russian missiles were being assembled, and trained supposedly on NYC". This is true, because in reality, there was the Cuban Missile Crisis, in which Russian missiles were transported to Cuba and pointed at major US cities. When Yolanda learns that snow is not bombs, it is a relief and kind of sad, because they lived in fear, but were still safe
