First you have to get the absolute value by it self (im gonna use this ║ as absolute value bars)
-5║x+1║=10
since the -5 is be multiplied you divide to get it to the other side:
-5/-5║x+1║=10/-5
║x+1║=-2
the answer is NO SOLUTION cuz there are no values of x that makes this equation true
