Xenon has 5 electron shells

Answer:

Eyo just restating, its 5 shells/levels/orbits/rings

mah homie its def 5, don't worry; search engines have your back *(mostly, not really)*

The innermost layer of elements always has a maximum of 2 shells, and continues outwards for as many electrons the element has.

The second to the center layer has 8 shells, and then on, the order fluctuates, as the elements' electrons will arrange themselves to the most symmetrical pattern possible.

I do believe the third shell has 8 electrons. Could mess with your future; don't quote me on anything for trust and compatibility.

1-*I know I may not be the most reliable source of details, statistics, and informational verbal communicative soundwaves but for simplicity and from my understanding, the third shell has 8 electrons, because the prior two shells combine to get a total of 10 electrons, added to 8 equals 18.*

Elements with 10 shells (it's Neon by the way) will follow the same pattern, 2 shells innermost, 8 shells next layer out, then as many as it takes.

Since 2 + 8 = 10, there are only 2 shells/levels/orbits/rings needed.

Hydrogen only has 1 electron and no more, so there is only 1 shell.

Helium has two electrons which fits perfectly:

The two electrons fits into only one shell of course, so moving on to three electrons.

Lithium has 3 electrons, and since two fits already in the first ring, and the next ring has a capacity of 8, there is plenty of room for 2 rings.

Hafnium has 72 electrons which has 6 rings, 2, 8, 18, 32, 10, 2

verb: Dont quote on this.

Hope this helps someone in the future~!
