As Douglass reflects on his life, what does he think is the significance of the move to Baltimore? What is his hope, and why does he have the hope?

It could be said that Baltimore represent some kind of freedom for him. Because when he was a child, he was sent to Baltimore and it was there where he learnt to read and write so it is probably a good memory for him
