Alfred Adler, was a medic al doctor, psychotherapist, and the founder of the school of individual psychology. Adler’s theory of personality and psychotherapy, presents a view which is optimistic in nature of people while resting heavily on the notion of social interest. When we say social interest, this refers to that feeling of oneness with all humankind. The popularity of Adler was relative to the comparative optimism and comprehensibility of his ideas. Adler was the one who wanted superiority and inferiority dynamic to be set aside and also was the one of those first psychotherapists who discarded the analytic couch in favor of the two chairs.
