In the 1500s, most people in Australia spoke aboriginal languages. The
Aboriginal Australians were the indigenous peoples of Australia, and it
is only natural that their language was the first one to be spoken in
these areas. Japanese was never spoken in Australia, Maori was spoken in
New Zealand, and English came later on in history.
