Eli took the fleet of 8 vans for oil changes. All of the vans needed windshield wipers, which cost $42 per van. What is the cost of each oil change

for my Equation I made,
8o+8(42)=432

but cant figure out how to solve it

8 of them need oil changes
all of them also cost 42 for windshield wiper

so your equation s right if the total cost was 432

so
8o+8(42)=432
expand
8o+336=432
minus 336 both sides
8o=96
divide both sides by 8
o=12

the cost per oil change was $12
