In Chapter 6 of "The Five People You Meet in Heaven," Eddie, the main character, meets his third person, Ruby. Ruby is a woman Eddie accidentally burned down the house of when he was a child. However, Ruby forgives Eddie and explains to him how her life led her to the house at that moment. She teaches Eddie the importance of forgiveness and how every action has consequences. Through this encounter, Eddie learns about the interconnectedness of people's lives and the power of redemption.
