A 45-year-old woman presents to the emergency department with complaints of chest
pain, shortness of breath, and palpitations. She has a past medical history of
hypertension and obesity. On examination, her blood pressure is 160/100 mmHg, heart
rate is 120 beats per minute, and respiratory rate is 20 breaths per minute. An
electrocardiogram (ECG) shows ST-segment depression and T-wave inversion in
multiple leads, suggestive of myocardial ischemia.
