You need to put the equations for f(x) and g(x) into the other equation. 
(4x+1 - x² -5)(x)
Simplify the parentheses
(-x²+4x-4)(x)
Now multiply the two together
-x³+4x²-4x
Since that isn't any of the choices, I assume you just need it simplify the (f-g) part of the equation.
-x²+4x-4 or A would be the answer
