Macon, Augusta, and Columbus are located in the (C) Coastal Plain Region in Georgia, which includes the lower half of the state.
The Blue Ridge Mountains Region includes the far northeast counties of Georgia. The Appalachian Plateau includes the far northwest counties of Georgia. The Piedmont Region includes the remaining counties in the upper half of Georgia.
