1. Reproduction
Ex. A flower would let a seed blow away in the wind. Then the seed will land somewhere and would sprout and grow another flower, then the new flower would let another seed blow away and the process will continue over and over.
2. Responsiveness
Ex. If someone slapped you, you would do something about it, right? Maybe you would slap them back or possibly yell in their face. That is being responsive- the act of sensing a change/stimulus and reacting to it.
3. Growth and Development
Ex. When a child enters their teenage years (or possibly before that) their body starts to change. Boys' voices become deeper, girls' chests enlarge and both genders start growing more hair all over their bodies.
4. Metabolism
Ex. All living things need energy to grow, move, and process information. Therefore, we need to eat. Food=energy for the body. But that also creates bodily waste, eventually. All of this is part of metabolism, so an example could be... A dog eats dog food, which gives him energy. Then later, he dumps out his leftover bodily waste outside in the form of poop.
