Read the two passages from Pushing the Bear

KNOBOWTEE
Why was O-ga-na-ya talking about court decisions?
Did he think we were in the council house back in
New Echota, Georgia? What did it matter now?
"Mackintosh," a friend of mine answered.
"Yo," my brother agreed. "Because Marshall in the
Supreme Court went back to the beginning. He talked
about the doctrine of discovery. U.S. discovery and
conquest. Then the government is sovereign. Indians
can only sell to the government."
"So what do you do with Indians living on that
discovered land?" I asked bitterly, looking at one man
already asleep under a wagon.
How does the use of multiple points of view affect the
reader's interpretation?
A. Both points of view show that Cherokee who had converted to Christianity did not know that their land would be taken, while other Cherokee saw it clearly.
B. The first point of view shows the government’s role in taking Cherokee land away, while the second point of view shows religion’s role.
C. The first point of view shows that the Cherokee were secretly planning to fight the soldiers, while the second point of view shows that the Cherokee were cooperating with them.
D. Both points of view show that the Cherokee people held on to Christianity to get them through the march.
