How is the process for finding the Least Common Multiple (LCM) and the Greatest Common Factor (GCF) of a set of numbers the same, how are they different?

Respuesta :

GCF = Finds the greater factors between two numbers or more. LCM is finding the two smallest numbers in common between numbers.
it's easier to show it

24 and 32

gcf is found by multiplying their factors, only the common factors
24=2*2*2*3
32=2*2*2*4
gcf=8

and the lcm is found by gropuing all the factors not repeating the ones common to both
so lcm will be 2*2*2*3*4 or 96
