12 in perimeter/3= 4 in per side (inclding the base)

Area of triangle: bh/2
4(2√3)/2= 8√3 /2= 4√3

Final answer: 4√3 in^2

A = bh/2 for a triangle
Perimeter = 12/3  Side = 4
