Most bills die in Georgia general assembly committee when there is no member that present it in the floor of the assembly. However, several factors could also contribute to the dead of a bill.

A bill dies in committee if it is voted down by the committee. All the actions that take place in committee are by voting and in any case that a bill doesn’t have the required vote to present it to the next level, such bill dies. In this case, a project indicator will notify the entire assembly member that a vote took place among the committee members and it fails.  

Though the whole of the general assembly can revisit the bill but it’s not so common. This is because the main function of a committee is to receive proposed bills, debate it and send it to the general floor of the assembly for a thorough debate, and in the circumstance that a bill is voted down, it dies a natural death and never get to the general assembly or becomes law.  

A bill can also dies in committee if the committee takes no step or further actions to discuss the bill.
