What is HIV?

HIV is a human immunodeficiency virus which infect the immune system by attacking T cells. It spreads from person to person through body fluids through unprotected intercourse, blood transfusion, sharing same injections etc.

The incubation period of HIV virus is of three months in which the person with the virus can infect another person unknowingly. So it is consider beneficial to get a HIV test and start the medication as soon as possible.
